Champion Homes used to be known as a modest home but since their acquisition of Silvercrest Homes, their quality has skyrocketed while their price point stayed extremely competitive.

In a book by John Grissim titled, "The Grissim Ratings Guide to Manufactured Homes" (Feb. 1, 2006) Champion Homes received a construction rating 7 out of a possible 10, while rivals like Fleetwood & Clayton received a 5 and Oakwood was only 4. Much more expensive homes like Silvercrest (9) and Fuqua Homes of Oregon (8) scored a higher construction rating.
